To coincide with his dates at Ronnie Scott’s Paul Carrack releases ‘No Doubt About It’, the fourth single from his fourteenth solo album ‘I Know That Name’. With a sound that leans towards the Chicago soul–style of Curtis Mayfield and Jerry Butler the song reaffirms Paul’s position as a remarkable vocalist, musician and songwriter.

“Soul is me, that’s where I come from. I think the new album is as good as anything I’ve done. I would go as far as to say it’s the best album I’ve made.”

With a career that spans almost 40 years, that is no small statement. Having played most of the instruments on the album and written all but one of the songs there is no doubt that Paul’s musicianship is extraordinary. But it is his voice – one of the most recognisable in the musical world - that lifts the record from being a technical showcase to one that is honest, warm and welcoming with its impeccable, seemingly effortless, delivery.      

After an extensive four month tour of Britain Paul will be performing for three nights at London’s Ronnie Scott’s “I am really looking forward to playing at Ronnie’s. It's a great intimate atmosphere and steep in music tradition.” Paul’s special guest will be his friend and some-time collaborator Chris Difford.

“I’ve worked hard to establish myself as a solo performer, building up a good reputation by word of mouth and doing many live shows every year,” he says. “As long as I have the opportunity to play live with my band and make my albums I will be happy.”
