Fugative is back, having spent the summer taking the top of the Channel U charts and Radio 1 ‘Switch’ road show by storm. This spring sees Fugative playing at various under 18s nights around the country, as part of the Club D TV and Luminar tours, as well as a performance at the ‘Secret Sins Party’ on April 11th, where ‘Skins’ cast members ‘Effy’ and ‘Thomas’ will be making an appearance. "This kid is the nuts" - Nick Grimshaw, Radio 1

The single ‘Jimmy Shoe’ is a tongue-in-cheek track gently poking fun at the obsession that girls have with their shoes as well as being an upbeat and raw hip-pop tale of teenage lust. Although distinctly British, the listener can pick up on the musical influence of US artists that Fugative cites as inspiration, including Sean Kingston and Lil’ Wayne.

"This is the first song I have produced & recorded myself, it represents the sound of the new generation ... 'Hip-Pop'. I feel really excited about this song, I think it is my best work so far!"

- Fugative

During the development of Fugative’s debut album, set for summer ‘09 release, he was a victim of the ever changing music industry when his record label sunk into administration. Undeterred, he continued recording, fulfilled all his live commitments (much to the delight of thousands of avid female followers) and is now signed to independent record label ‘Clotted Cream’.

15-year-old Fugative began his career at the tender age of 7 when he started hanging out with Darren Martyn (Shola Ama, The Honeyz) in his studio. Since then he has worked with a host of established UK artists (Kele Le Roc, Johnny Douglas and Darren Hayes) and has welcomed interest from respected US music industry execs namely Kirk Burrowes, former manager for Mary J Blige and part-owner of hip hop empire Bad Boys Inc.

The future is bright for Fugative and with Music Week, 'You' magazine, Teen Now, Shout Magazine, National Radio DJ's including Nick Grimshaw tipping him for big things and a collaboration with Kanye West on the horizon, the new year is sure to see him build further on his impressive musical foundations. 2009 will see Fugative take the lead with his own brand of crowd pleasing Hip-Pop.
